Check before you go – Battle Ground Lake Closure

Battle Ground Lake State Park

Have you started to make your summer travel plans yet? Make sure you check to make sure your destination isn’t facing any closures this summer.

Battle Ground Lake State Park is a forested camping park in the Cascade Mountain foothills; its proximity to Vancouver and Portland and its cool green lake make it a very popular escape from the bustle of city and suburbs.

The 275-acre park offers hiking, biking, horse trails and a primitive equestrian camping area. The spring-fed lake is attractive to swimmers and paddlers and is stocked with trout, making it a favorite of anglers.

Due to its popularity, Battle Ground Lake is getting some exciting new improvements! In addition to a renovated boat launch and dock, the lake will soon offer a separate, ADA-accessible fishing pier for added recreational opportunities.

Due to these improvements, right now, the lake is closed to all vehicle access and the boat launch and dock are closed. Foot traffic and fishing from the bank are permitted except in those areas fenced off for construction.

The project is scheduled to be completed by June 30. For current construction updates contact the park office at battle.ground@parks.wa.gov or (360) 687-4621.
